Called the State University of New Jersey, Rutgers is one of the leading national research universities. It is also New Jersey's preeminent and comprehensive public institution for higher education. Masters of Business and Science
This portion of the national Professional Science Master's degree program has been designed to provide an academically rigorous and job focused graduate education that will help students to launch, or speed up, their career in an industry relating to science or engineering. It is a combination of a Master's of Science program with real, hands-on learning, networking opportunities, and business courses in a format that is flexible to fit a custom set of career goals. Courses for this degree are from a combination of an MS and MBA. Students will be able to choose an applied science concentration that will be paired with the business curriculum. This business curriculum will consist of the core courses from finance and marketing, accounting, management, communication, leadership, ethics, and intellectual policy electives.
This degree can be taken on a full time or part time basis, and all courses are offered in the evenings, on weekends, or online so that all students have equal access to this type of education. The Master of Business and Science is a STEM degree, meaning that it brings together science, technology, engineering, and math. Students are expected to complete 24 credits in the science portion with a concentration, and 19 credits worth of business courses. They will be exposed to meaningful networking events, and coaching for career placement and advancement. This program keeps students professionally focused and offers many formats for it to be completed, ensuring that there is a format for those with the most hectic schedule.
